Hazard mitigation planning helps local leaders better understand and prepare for the risks facing our community. The results will inform the development of long-term strategies to reduce the effects of disaster-related events and their negative impact on people, property, and the environment.
The goal of the HMP is to better identify large-scale hazards and establish projects that can mitigate the damage from these hazards as well as reduce the time it takes our community to recover.
