Park County, CO - Park County staff are pleased to release the comprehensive output report stemming from the 7 community meetings held in late fall to discuss Short Term Rental policy considerations as well as the final survey results. The current Short Term Rental Ordinance is undergoing revision and the publication of this report marks the next phase of drafting the revised ordinance for community review and input.
We would like to invite and encourage all county residents to review the Community Tour Report and Community Survey Report in preparation for the publication of the draft to ensure all voices are heard and the new ordinance reflects the priorities of the people we serve. Here is the timeline we anticipate to seek adoption:
February 2025 Share report of public opinion from community survey and county-wide tour.
March 2025 Share first draft of the STR ordinance and open public comment period of draft ordinance, both online and in-person opportunities.
April 2025 Finalize revisions to the draft ordinance based on feedback. Present detailed recommendations and documentation for the Planning Commission's consideration and recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners.
May 2025 Seek consideration and ultimately unanimous adoption of the revised STR ordinance by the Board of County Commissioners.
