Online Vehicle Registration Renewal

No time in your busy day to run errands or take off work, but need to renew your vehicle registration right away? Thanks to an enhanced online vehicle registration renewal service implemented by Park County in collaboration with the State Web portal, you can renew your plates online at Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles anytime day or night. Your renewal will be processed the next business day and mailed to you. There is an administration fee for using this service.

NEWS FLASH: The Department of Motor Vehicles will be closing at 4pm on the following Tuesdays and Wednesdays - January 27 & 28, February 3, 4, 11, & 12 due to training. The office will also be closed on February 17 for an upgrade installation. Please plan accordingly.

1-2-102 - Rules for determining residence: The residence of a person is the principal or primary home or place of abode of a person. A principal or primary home or place of abode is that home or place in which a person's habitation is fixed and to which that person, whenever absent, has the present intention of returning after a departure or absence, regardless of the duration of the absence. A residence is a permanent building or part of a building and may include a house, condominium, apartment, room in a house, or mobile home. No vacant lot or business address shall be considered a residence.

Self-Service DMV Kiosk

Park County residents are eligible to use one of the Colorado MV Express kiosks available throughout the state. MV Express is a self-service DMV kiosk that offers a fast and easy way to renew your vehicle registration. It is a blue and yellow machine with touch-screen technology that looks similar to an ATM. Simply scan the barcode on your renewal postcard or type your license plate number on the touch-screen.
